never have, never will. I do a complete wipe ever couple weeks so I figure it isn't worth my time.

Daily auto scan at night using panda, never catching anything as there is nothing to catch.

I sure do. I am not so cocky that I cant have a decent free scanner like AVG. To me this is like bragging that you don't need seatbelts. Maybe that's true, but it seems foolish not to use them.

What about spyware, trojans etc. Have you checked for those?

Kaspersky is running on every computer in the house.
My kid's computers would be rendered unusable in a day without it. I get literally hundreds of emails a day. Sifting out the neverending viral emails with Kaspersky makes it a lot easier on my nerves.

I rarely pick anything up. I too try to be a smart computer user and forgo the need for a scanner... however, I still like it as a back up.

I agree...I went 4 years without; I felt I didn't need A.V. Guess what? One virus even after four years was one too many..

Just about this exactly.

My bro-in-law is infested with either virii or spyware every time I visit.. It's remarkable.

Yep, it's better to be safe than too cool for anti-virus software. Free AVG has sniffed out several questionable files for me.

I used to use AVG, but ever since I reinstalled windows last year, I've been to lazy. I'm just careful with what I browse/download/open, and I've been fine so far. Honestly, for those people that get constantly infected, I'm shocked. People like that must browse like animals

I routinely do patches. Blaster only executed if you were connected to the internet IIRC

1. Disconnect from internet
2. Manually heal computer
3. ...
4. PROFIT!

I use Norton corperate because the school gives it out for free.

It's much better than the retail version.

It's just like in real life...only bad people get diseases.
