Edit: Outland is simply amazing! The quest rewards are incredible and the place is just packed with people. So much fun!
 
Tempting. The Gamestop down the street is having a midnight launch and I have a copy on pre-order. Too bad it's cold outside. I think I'm going to bed and picking it up after work tomorrow.

My roommate is out in the freezing cold trying to pick up a copy. The line is already running along the length of the block and he also doesn't have a preorder so he has to wait for everyone else.

Im sure the lag is incredible. EU servers are notoriously unstable. But some have played for 10:36h already...

Well considering it's 4 CD's (i'm installing it right now), I don't think a 2GB+ download is very reasonable, especially for 56k users.

Well considering it's 4 CD's (i'm installing it right now), I don't think a 2GB+ download is very reasonable, especially for 56k users.

I don't give a crap if *you* want to go to the store and buy it, that's fine with me, but I can download 2GB in less than an hour, which is faster than it would be for me to go out to the store and get it. Hell, it's about 2GB of downloads of patches to go from my 1.0 CDs to the current point release, what's 2 more GB for an expansion?

I don't know. There must be some reason why many computer games have expansions that can only be purchased via retail.
 
I was going to pick mine up but with having to wait in line I would have been late for work. 🙁 I'll get it after work tomorrow.

$$$ reasons. Blizzard knows everyone's gonna buy it anyway, whytf should they waste their bandwidth? Profit margin++.
 
Well this is fvcking fantastic, my installer hangs every time on insertion of CD2.

GREAT.

This is after I spent 5 hours re-installing WoW after 2.0.3 corrupted it for no reason. The fixer tool failed to fix it (5 hours due to hundreds of mb of patches to download)

I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW
 
OK I fixed the problem, if anyone else gets this (or similar):

Hold shift inserting the CD. The problem is autorun tries to open another instance of the installer, which of course crashes both.

You can also manually disable autorun.
