id be too bored sitting around doing nothing since I have to bill my time... but double time for nothing, sure i'd stay around and nef 🙂

if there wasn't legitimate work that I have to be on location to do later in the afternoon, I think I'd have just worked from home today and caught up on my netflix/tivo.

Bad part about working for a bank, can't close for shits n' giggles, and have to be open the day after a holdiay, i.e. if Thanksgiving is on a thursday, i'm at work the next day...
 
Sitting here going to play poker for half the day, took the holiday last week since I have to keep an eye on things for our Canadian employees.
 
I'm off today, but I'm working tomorrow. I work a part-time summer job, so no holiday bonus pay for me. 🙁
 
I'm here 🙁. I'm skillfully avoiding any and all work though. It's actually more work avoiding work than doing the work, but I'm up to the challenge.
 
I'm required to work, and am not even getting paid for it. Sales are a bitch on holiday weekends. No one buys anything because they are on vacation. And instead of getting holiday pay (which doesn't exist here at all for any holiday) I get yelled at for not making enough sales. Awesome.

I could have taken the day off as holiday, but I'm working it instead, so I can bank the holidady and add it to my existing vacation days. Currently I have 7 now (including today), so I'm planning on taking almost a week and a half off (with a weekend in between to chain the days together into one long vacation). Probably going to take a thurs, friday, then M-F so I actually have 11 days straight off.
 
Yep yep, we didn't get July 4th weekend as an extended one this year but the company made up for it with another weekend I think.
