that car costs way to much money, but ive always wanted it.

I have a HPI NMT, but i need a new engine for it so i might just get a different car all together.

i know, so was mine. my friend built a track and i could launch like crazy, but then we never took care of it and it went and grew grass back on it.

but i want something else a bit faster and tougher.

nice track, ours was a bit shorter and definately not as smooth after a lil bit of erosion took place.

i always wanted the GS Storm before i bought the NMT.

I just bought an OFNA nitro powered touring car and a Viper GTS body for it. Spent the last 5-6 hours painting, cutting and putting decals on it. This car is supposed to do almost 60mph. I haven't comleted the engine break in though so I can't say how fast it is. It does have the 2 speed transmission.

Glad to see this thread alive.
I am rebuilding my car right now. Spend Sat + Sun cleaning and rebuilding the diffs and suspension.

I calculated that I have made around 2100 laps on the track in the pictures which translates to around 200 miles of driving :Q:Q:Q
:D

Text 56k beware!

This is my RC car. It is an OFNA LD3 with an HPI Lotus Elise body. This thing is really quick, has a two speed transmission and will do around 40mph. One of these days I will get it out to a track and run it. Right now I just run it on my street occasionally.

Edit-Oops, didn't realize this thread was so old and that I had already posted in it!

Thanks! I have 4 different bodies for it now but I fvcked up the wheel cutouts on one and changed the mounting posts recently so really only 2 of them are usable right now. I could make more holes in the Viper body though but it has a few bash marks on it already.

I haven't run the car with the Lotus body on it yet. The muffler lays right against the body and I need to put some tape or something on there to protect the paint or it will just rub through it.

HPI bodies don't really fit quite right on OFNA cars I've found. The wheelbase is slightly longer on the OFNA chassis so you can't just mark the post holes and then rely on the wheel cutout markings. It's a pain in the arse but HPI is really the only game out there for bodies.
