I prefer the vintage Mustangs. They look a hell of alot better than the mid 80's- early 90's models.

pictures, posters, models, hotwheels, etc. are littered all over my room.

Don't have a Fox-body car. I have a 1970 Mustang Fastback with a 351 Cleveland. I love my car. While I like all Mustangs (except '74-'78) I prefer vintage... Nice ride BTW.

F*ck man! I gotta learn how to mod cars so i can make my car faster, i would at least like to beat 00 Stang GT's as they are the ones the whoop me all the time. Anybody got any good links on modding Mustangs?

And are those K&N's really that good?

I just bought my '89 back. Right now the whole interior is gutted as I am going completely through and restoring it back to new condition. The exterior will be repainted and all rubber seals and trim work will be replaced. I'm also going to replace the motor and transmission while I've got it down and have the luxury of being able to do so.

Current mods.
65mm throttle body
65mm EGR plate
70mm Mass Air
Ported Stock Intake
Flowmasters with homemade off-road pipe
1.7 Roller Rockers
Tremec Tranny
Hurst Shifter
Had a chip(threw it out, there are more effective ways to obtain those results)
3.55 Rear End Gear

1/8 mile times
It has been a while since I ran it at the strip but in this form I was running 8.8-8.9 with a mph in the 83-84 mph range. This was on street tires
I did run the bottle for a while the times for my car under that configuration were around 7.5 and mph was in the high 90's if I remember correctly. I ran DOT slicks when running the bottle. I wish I could still find some timeslips. 🙁

Now that I have bought my car back the tired 217,000 mile motor will be replaced with a new 5.0 GT-40 long block assembly. I will throw a intercooled supercharger on top of that before I'm completely done. My goal is to have a nice streetable weekend car that has around 400-450hp. I don't really plan on spending a lot of time at the strip with it, but I will try to go a few times just to get an idea of how well it runs. So in other words it graduating from a daily driver to a toy!!! 😎

Layzie, you say yours is an '88 does it have a Mass Air Sensor?? In '88 only the California models had this I believe. If yours doesn't have the Mass Air Sensor you need to convert it over so it does. Otherwise the car cannot adjust to your any major modifications you do.

'89 was the first year all Mustangs started using a Mass Air Sensor.

hey guys I am the only one with a digital cam. or am I the only one with too much time on my hands 🙂
