They are getting tommorrow off because it's time to celebrate one of this countries oldest and most esteemed organizations The U.S.M.C. 10 Nov 1775 was the day the United States Marine Corps came alive. 225 years young and still kicking ass and taking names.

Our company was recently acquired. Before the acquisition, since we used to do a lot of government work, we would get all of the government holidays automatically. The new company has no such policy. This sucks because I live in the DC area, and I was the only one in my building that hads to get up this morning to come into the office...

I could have stayed home, but I have things to do. I'll probably work 4-6 hours, or until I'm tired of being here.

My company is like geoff2k's. We work with a lot of government agencies, and the phones are pretty quiet on federal holidays.
