Who else enjoys a good cigar?

I just started smoking cigars about a month ago. I absolutely hate cigarettes, but my friend took me to this place that had a walk-in humidor and you could get a cup of coffee and sit down and smoke your cigar after you purchased it. My first was a CAO Soprano Edition. My favorite right now though is a Dunhill.

I need to buy a humidor so I can store them without them drying out. Nothing beats a cup of coffee and a good cigar.

Never smoked anything either like many others. I've always wanted to try a cigar though with some scotch, but I just know I'll look like a fool coughing up a storm on my first puff and look like an idiot.

Smoking cigars is like inhaling hot ash.

You aren't supposed to inhale.

Edit:

To the OP, yes on occasion.

I know you are not supposed to inhale. I meant when you suck the smoke into your mouth, you get bits of hot ash.

I certainly enjoy a good cigar. I don't really have a favorite, I just walk in one of the few specialty shops around here and ask for suggestions.

I smoke one every 2-3 days... I don't have a favorite... I smoke flavored ones, ie. Backwoods... I wonder how bad it is compared to cigarettes? Say smoking one Backwoods cigar a day would be the equivalent of how many cigarettes a day? Take into consideration that we don't inhale cigars...

I do once or twice a month in the winter, a bit more when its nice outside. I started with Macanudo's which are fairly mild, and have tried a bunch others since. If you liked the CAO try an Upman(sp) which is one of the clasic brands that are normally very good smokes, and similar in intensity. I have started trying some of the darker cigars recently which I do like, but have yet to find a favorite brand. I have 2 humidors, one with the dailly smokes, and another I built myself out of a canadian whisky box that I am using to age some. I have a box of 8 year old Macanudo's and another box of the gold lable Mac's, and I just got a box of ONYX for christmas to put in the humidor.

If there is someone new wanting to try a cigar, and is not a smoker, I always recomend a Macanudo. Reasonable price, good quality, fairly mild (so you wont be puking an hour later) but still very good taste.

Try Remy Extra with a good cigar and you will be drinking less coffee with your cigars.

There is much more nicotine in the average cigar than the average cigarette.

I know that, but would nicotine harm me as much as if I was smoking cigarettes since you inhale cigarettes? And how many cigarettes make up for a cigar? 5-6?

I enjoy a good cigar when I'm drinking. I cannot stand cigarettes. In any given month, I may smoke 2 cigars.

these are great cigars, macanudos to me are better than cubans...so smooth and the flavor is aweseom.

i am not really into the real robust ones, like the after dinner cigars....
