Who drinks what, how much do you think these drinkers make?

I normally only drink 3 & 4, but I'll have a 2 in a pinch if that's all that is around.

Don't knock PBR

I can't drink that crap.

In High School we went down to this dive bar in the US to see a band play and they only had 2 beers on tap: PBR and some brown, dairrhea looking stuff. I drank so much PBR I got violently ill and was never able to touch the stuff again. Good times that night though.

yeah, but isn't that the important part?

regular 1-3, whatever is on special. if category 3 is on special, i drink that. if category 1 is on special, i drink that.

How much do you think the drinkers of these kinds of beer make, when you see them at the bar?

1) Economy, $1 -$2 (PBR, Old Mil, Keystoneetc)

2) Mainstream - $1 - $4 (Miller, Budweiser, Coors etc)

3) Premium niche - $6ish (Microbrews, Becks, Guiness, etc).

4) Premium - $10-20 (Belgians, special aditions, 750ml bottles, etc).

Just curious to see what people's impressions are of how much money someone should make to drink a certain class of beer.

I drink PBR if I want a lager because it doesn't have rice in it to reduce the flavor and make it too smooth, and otherwise, all lagers pretty much taste close to the same, so I may as well go with cheap.
I drink Microbrews because it's hard to find a Macro that sells good ale.
I drink Premium because it's the only way to get a Belgian quad or a good imperial stout.

People should drink what they like, if their budget is dictating it, there's no reason they could not have 1 expensive beer instead of 3 cheap beers.

Also very nice. Never had it on tap though.

yea theres a pub not far from me which has one of the best beer selections i have ever seen. over 100 imports in bottels and a ton on tap.

To this date i think its the only place i can get Boddingtons on tap that i know of
