My step dad's sister was married to Fred Quillan*. So I was a huge 49'ers fan from age 12 to about 18. I just stopped caring after Fred wasn't playing. He did introduce me to some of his Chicago Bear friends after a game in 1986. Dan Hampton, Gary Fencik, mostly linemen.Originally posted by: randomlinh

ouch. i remember growing up a niners fan... back when montana was just leaving for young to take over. but.. well.. I was only a minor fan... I eventually got bored of it and stopped following sports somewhere in middle school, heh.
I watch the occasional game when it's on though.
