College, Yes
Professional, No

I have no connection to any professional team, where as college, I do, I know a few of the players and I watch them get pounded by Notre Dame last weekend and Illinois this weekend. I still enjoy it though. (I can't imagine John L. Smith is going to be head coach much longer if he keeps this up)

"It's much more fun to play sports"

I never understood that quote. Of course it'd be more fun to PLAY in the NFL...but only about .00001% of players can make it to the NFL...

And like it's be easy to organize a full football game with full equipment, referees, gameclock, etc to play it anyway.

So shut up already! :p

I only really watch Da Bears, great times going out to a bar for the game.

No. Only if I'm eating by the bar in a resturant, I'll stare at it. Although going to a PRO game with good ~10 rows up seats is a experience. Those guys are huge. But dumb as a bat and makes me sick how much $$$$$$ they make (starting at 350,000 I believe)

The Lions/Rams are on, but I'm one my lappy. Go figure.

I prefer college. Nothing can beat the tradition, the bands, the rivalries, the giant offensive playbooks, and the stadium's housing 70,000 - 110,000 screaming fans that are louder than any pro stadium. Plus the guys aren't out there playing for money.

The NFL is so terribly generic and has to harp on stuff like TO to create any sort of drama. There are actually real differences between college teams. Love crazy upsets and rooting for the programs which do it the right way (good job with that 40% graduation rate Texas). Nice try by UNI vs Iowa State this weekend. LOL at Michigan State.

Oh, and playing football is awesome.

I only follow highschool and college (mainly college, go big 10), though I do like hearing about the vikings losing.

QFT...I don't see any raucous cheering sections in pro games.

Have you actually been to a Raiders or Chargers game?

I've been to Seahawk games and Husky games. Husky stadium is much louder. Plus, half the stadium will start chanting "GO!!" and the other half will follow with "HUSKIES!!". It's just a feeling you don't get at the pro level.

No, but I've been to a seahawks game. They've got a hell of a fan base and are pretty loud. But the feeling just isn't there. To me it's just too much Las Vegas rock-star cheering at pro games while the cheering at college games comes from the heart.

College students usually have more energy than 30 or 40 somethings. Do those fans stand the entire time? Do they cheer together accompanied by a band? Trust me, allegiances to schools are greater than allegiances to cities.

I don't doubt the school allegiance but for you to say that there's no raucous cheering haven't met a member of the Raider Nation or those J E T S fans.
