mmmm...beer boiled bratworst..

i prefer liquor as i dont really care for beer, but i like mine mixed, and dont usually have more than one or two drinks a week, if that.

however, if ive got some wine i like, ill finish the bottle of over a couple of weeks, and not just by cooking with it. no sense in it going to waste ;)

I'm 21...22 in april, i've drank since I was 18(shh) never too much, always have fun with it, but I honestly can say i drink for the taste. I love myself a tanqueray #10 + lime + tonic :) My friends say i drink too much because i'll crack a beer or two with dinner, among others...or come home and crack a beer for watchin a game. Beer for me tends to be guiness, some killians red, or something of the like. The only "cheap" beer i drink is miller lite, and even thats iffy...

I see no problem with drinking so long as you arent a jackass when you do it, and know when its a problem. I also see no problem with not drinking, I just think everyone should try it once, and no i dont mean have a beer at a frat party, i mean a drink mixed with good quality liquer, or a quality guiness!

damn, this thread is full of teetotalers and ex-alcoholics.

i get drunk regularly - once a week or so. a couple other nights of the week, i'll enjoy a few Sierra Nevada PAs, 60 Minute IPAs, or homebrews.

is it really THAT hard to strike a balance between abstainer and alcoholic?

I cut down a lot. Having hangovers and sleeping until 3 or 4 in the afternoon was starting to get old. Plus it got expensive. And I could not sleep at night... toss and turn and I'd wake up sweating, this happened for several days. I cut down a bunch and it stopped happening. I don't need to kill any more brain cells anyway.
