Honestly Obama 3rd term over most everybody in the field.

Maybe kasich from the GOP side, although he needs serious vetting. It's easy to not seem crazy with the army of nut jobs he's running with.

Sanders is too looney, he could never win the general. Nader is more plausible, and look how that turned out. Otherwise Hillary to defend the Obama legacy and keep the economy growing.

I'm voting on Keynesian economics, infrastructure, college tuition, middle/lower class wages, environment/climate change, and social liberalism. Also, lowered military spending, no foreign wars. Time to invest in America

actually a guy told me on facebook last night that by 2050 all white people will be kicked out of america

but i don't think it's feasible to expect that by january 2017

There's always Australia.. a government where they really do care about not getting invaded by illegal immigrants. Not that hard for Americans to move to.

Why, Barak Hussein Obama of course.

Little does everyone know, we liberals have put into place a plan that would give Barry the title of Emperor of America. King just wasn't enough power frankly. Oh, and being white will be illegal.

Honestly, of all the available choices I would be down with another Obama term if it were legal. He's easily been the best president of my lifetime. (Reagan-Present)

I agree, he's been the best president of my lifetime. I would hope someone can do better than him.. hopefully Bernie.

I'd like to see Bernie Sanders as president but I'm not sure how realistic that notion is at this point. He's doing well in the polls but non establishment candidates tend to do well at this stage of an election anyway.

I have mixed views of Hillary but I think she'll be a good president and far better than Obama was.

This. Kasich is not getting a lot of press because he's not a loudmouth or media darling, but he's the most normal of the bunch. I've seen him up close here in Ohio for years, he's pretty even-keeled and not extreme in his views. We need Kasich in the poll.

Are you sure? It almost seems to me you could make that claim about Charles Manson.

Kasich is Scott Walker with a conscience, and without a pet legislature. Unlike Wisconsin, Ohioans were successful in pushing back.

That said, Kasich is the least batshit insane Republican in the field, which of course makes him a rabid RINO. Accepting the Medicaid provision of the ACA is what will make him gross to the base.

not really backing any horse at the moment... I'd happily vote for any of the Democrats over any of the Republicans, but they've all got good and bad things about them.

the primaries will be long over by the time my state actually votes, so I'm trying not to get too invested in any of the candidates to avoid any butthurt feelings if "my" candidate gets a raw deal and loses.

I can honestly say I don't give a fuck. I am curious to see what country we invade when we get a new president. My moneys on Iraq/Syria although Iran is running a close second.

Bernie Sanders and Rand Paul (in that order) are the only "mainstream" candidates that are even worth considering because they're the least likely to bend to the establishment. Unfortunately, that's precisely why they won't even get the nomination.

i'm not american, but nothing really ever changes. liberal democracies everywhere need some quite radical constitutional changes.

If I could choose the President... well that's rather silly. If I had absolute power, then I'd rule absolutely. But don't worry, I wouldn't inflict Sharia Law on all of you.

I'll interpret the OP's question to be, at this moment who would you vote for if the election primary were held today. Right now I'd say Trump. He's probably the one person not afraid of putting the Clintons in jail, where they belong.

Can we talk Jon Stewart into running? I think the only person who could take a serious look at this country and do something to fix it is the foremost satirist of it.
