This is in the context of a) your personal information, and b) probably more in the context of mobile devices. The three biggest )I think) mobile device entities are Google, Apple and Microsoft. I will accept there might be a forth option but I would ask that you be specific about that forth option if used.

As much as I hate to say it, Apple. I don't really trust anyone though. Apple's relatively trustworthy cause it currently fits their business strategy, but next week could be different.

As with politicians, to my mind there's absolutely no question of "trusting more", rather than "distrusting less" (however little "less" might be....) So I'll say either/both Apple or/and Microsoft. Basically because as far as I can tell/have ever seen, whatever extent they profit from personal data is a sideline for them, whereas it's what Google's fundamental business model is based on...

Can't "trust" any large corporation. Microsoft's the closest for me. Too many Apple stories in the news about peoples person files being stolen and Google App store is\was a crapware heaven.

If I have to pick between those 3 I'd say Apple. Google is all about selling your information, Microsoft is getting into that too with Windows 10. Apple, I'm not sure if they do that or not. (they probably do). They did show some restraint when FBI was trying to get them to unlock a phone, so it shows they possibly do care. It was probably mostly a publicity stunt but at least they did it. Google just hands over the info directly and so does MS.

But I picked other: Myself. I host everything myself, that way it's not in the hands of a 3rd party that can do what they want with it.

I'm about as big a (quasi-rational) Apple-basher as you'll find, but it's not fair to blame Apple for that - unless I missed something, all that stuff came from "hacked" accounts, the leaks didn't from Apple... If you're a celebrity, keep nude pictures of yourself on your phone that you don't want to ever be made public, and then choose dumbass passwords and/or leave your unlocked phone lying around, you deserve anything and everything you get as a result...🙂 (And I mean that smilie in the LA-style "Have a Nice Day! sense😉)

Given a choice between Apple, Microsoft and Google I'd go with the Mafia, Trump and Lance Armstrong instead.
You expect any of the first three to blackmail, extort, defraud, bankrupt, and/or make you "offers you can't refuse" based on your Internet browsing habits? No, wait, maybe you shouldn't answer that on a public forum...😀

There's also Amazon. I feel like I should trust them more than these guys, since they mainly want my information for themselves.

I don't but I feel like I should. 😛

No, but I trust the Mafia to be honest about the way they're robbing me and I trust Trump and Lance to lie 100% of the time. That's comforting, with the others you can never be sure what they're lying about or how you're getting screwed.

They let an intern have access to shit and sure enough, he stole a buttload of pics over the course of a year and released them all online at once.
In a whole year he managed to hide his actions. Thats not the mark of a smart company.

I would not trust all my personal information with Google, Microsoft, or Apple.

Not that think that they would do something nefarious with it (well, actually I do think Google would sell any bit of information they could get on anyone to ISIS terrorists for half a stick of gum), but I don't trust any large company to be able to keep Russian hackers (or who ever) out indefinitely.

That is the main problem with any instance of personal information being stored by these large companies. Eventually someone gets hacked and your CC information is sold on the dark web.
