Who do you think makes the nicest looking computer cases?

I want something as simple and high quality as possible. Think Apple.

Which manufacturer do you think comes closest? Antec?

Having*been*married, I will take function over form anyday of the week 🙂

Quality of material used and of construction, together with ease of use, plus a finish that
is attractive and durable. An apperance that ages well is a benifit to most. (Lian-Li).
This forum is dominated by P-180 owners. So if you want active help, get an Antec.
They look real good at <$130 to your door.
Best looking at what price point? Right now I can't think Apple, at least not before
breakfast 😛

I would reccomend getting a case before selecting cable lenghts.

I think CoolerMaster makes some of the best looking cases - take a gander at this prime example. The ATC-220 is another nice example not to mention the WaveMaster. Funny, I don't see the glammed up CMs anywhere but at Sundial.
. Silverstone usually does a good job in both categories - the TJ-06 being a major exception.
. But as G-Y intimates, form seldom follows function in the computer case realm. The very inexpensive Antec SLK3000-B (around $50 shipped from Provantage or Amazon) or the Compucase 6A19 (basically the same inside) are in the 90th percentile in the function category. A lot of more expensive cases could borrow a clue...
. I also like the Kingwin 424, Beantech Igloo, Victor (all the same case pretty much and variously available at the Egg, ZZF and computergate.com) are examples of elegant form & function to my eye. They give you more features than the similarly priced and appearing Lian Li models. Windows? I don't need no steenking windows... 😀

I think LianLi makes the best looking cases (except for the 20th anniv. ed.. ugh) I had a P180 for 3 months and i just sold it; cheap plastic cases are not for me. I have a V1000 and i'm going to order a V1200b to replace my p180 this week.

I think antec does a decent job. But i dont think that there is just *one* manufcaturer that meets the standards you want. They all seem to have something to satisfy those who want the bling bling, and those who want form, rather then function. Galvanized Yankee i love the quote 🙂

I LOVE my new P180, antistatic not sure of what cheap plastic you speak of, but to each their own.

To the OP - look at all different manufacturers, you wont find YOUR perfect case by limiting yourself to just antec, or JUST coolermaster, or JUST xyz. You get the point 🙂

Lay down some criterion that you have for a case, then look at each manufacturers version of that kind of case.

You can check out the Nexus and vtech cases at jab-tech.com.

The Nexus Breeze is clever, but seldom in stock. And the Nexus I is very similar to the Just PC Gazelle (Newegg, Directron et al.) in case you would rather a wider color choice

The Vtechs look good, but some reviews say they feel a bit flimsy - and they are often OOS too. Not very many online resellers for either brand.

I have a new Antec P180 and am close to selling it. I should have gone with the Lian Li 2100 in black.

QFT. The prettiest case to you is worthless if it doesn't do what you want it to, now or later. Hence, the reason I got my case.

I'm surprised to many folks aren't liking their 180's.. I think it's great. Although it is too damned big and I could do without the vent on the top 😉

Well I am starting a computer company so people generally buy what looks pretty 😉

That makes it useful for me. That said, quality is of course more important. But generally some of the better looking ones (like Antec) are also the highest quality.

I just wish Antec would make their cases a bit smaller.

Yea. I'm trying to find a smaller case for my wife's machine, as I don't want the limited-ness of a SFF setup. But oh well. I'll keep looking until I find something small, as we already have a big case to handle all of our storage needs.

Hey Tas,

Don't you like the Chenming 118 or the Enermax Venus series? I think most females would like the blue and silver Venus a lot. Granted you aren't going to be able to build a steamrolling gamer's system in it , but anything short of that should work fine.

Well, it's a matter of what she likes, because it is going to be her computer (hehehe). She liked the Tai Chi (I think ThermalTake made it). But it was bigger than what we needed, as we already have a large case. Thanks for the tips though.

I generally prefer CM, with the exception of the P180..... and Lian-Li is nice too!

Not too big a fan of Silverstone overall..

I can't make up my mind between several.

CoolerMaster Stacker
[Wavemaster looks "nice", but the ventilation sucks like an old bathtub]

Lian-Li -- for the VB 1[x]00 line of cases, and their server cases

The Antec P180 -- really nice.

The ThermalTake Armor -- looks nice, and like the Stacker has great potential for devices and cooling

But wait!! You know what? I think I can make up my mind!

ThermalTake Tai-Chi

Wife wants the Tai-Chi, but we don't need another large case... Looks nice as hell though...
