Who do you think makes the best FPS gaming engine overall?

No. But the UE3 is slated for 2006, and barely runs on a 6800 + FX53.

However im very confident in carmacks work, and the Doom 3 engine will definately slaughter all the current engines.

And by that time carmack would have, either made a newer engine or in their next game, add more shader support and up the poly count, and impliment soft shadows.

A doom 3 engine with features i just mentioned would equal UE3.

I mean EF2 looks better than Unreal 2.
