Pretty much everyone once I am on my floor and sometimes to people in the elevator before I get to my floor. I'm a morning guy though, so I am generally in a good mood in the morning.

I say * Morning* to everyone. Including the bus drivers and peeps along the way. I learned along time ago not to say * Good Morning*, that just leaves you open for a * Whats so good about it* comeback

I say hi to anyone that I see on the way to my desk but I don't make any special trips. One of the bosses sits right by me and we usually bullshit for a few minutes while caffeining up.

I work in a small office, 2 CPA's, 1 other bookkeeper, and the son of one of my bosses. I have the front desk...I say good morning to everyone.

ditto, and some people still say "whats good about it"?

If someone "important" says it I will say "morning." If anyone else says it I either respond with a "fuck you" or just start laughing.

I also HATE when people ask "how are you" or "how is everything" EVERY single day when they clearly don't care. I respond with "not too bad" regardless if someone just died or I just made a huge sale. Stop faking like you're my friend.

It's hard not to have a case of the Mondays when my weeks are all Monday 1, Monday 2, Monday 3, Monday 4, Monday 5. If someone can get me an IT job and out of sales my attitude will change instantly.

I say hi (not good morning) to the people I cross in the hall or in the dining room when I go put my lunch in the refrigerator.

Then I say a general hi to the three people in the support team as I walk by, and another hi to my team members when I enter our room.

I also say "see ya" to both teams on my way out at the end of the day.

We had a coworker who never said hi, and never said bye at the end of the day. When he left his desk, we never knew if he was gone for the day or if he was simply at the toilet or something. I thought he was a moron for not even saying one single hi to the people he worked with. It felt like he was always in a bad mood. I'm glad he's gone.

I used to most of the time...but since being told we're closing down and I'm being let go, I don't say shit to anyone. I go about my business of cleaning out my stuff and wrapping up crap. Most of the time, I don't even go in and respond to the e-mails and calls from home. Will make one more appearance on Friday for my last day (will be there on Monday for the resume workshop and to go to the unemployment office in the same town but not in a working capacity).

Not liking sales, eh? It's not for everyone. I struggle with it myself. But the big ones sure are nice...

I do not walk into anyone's cubicle to say hi in the mornings. If I see them in the hallway, I do. I do give a hearty greetings to the fellow across the cubicle row from me.

Formerly to the other two engineers in the room, now only to the other one engineer. Layoffs. 🙁
And to a few people who are outside the door before work.

More like "hello" or "hey." It's 8am, and nothing good ever happened before noon. 😉

I say it to everyone, most look at me like i am insane because im doing it at 6:30PM, but i work 12 hour grave shifts. Only the other grave staff dont look at me like im nuts.

I detest saying hello to people just for the hell of it, and it bothers me tremendously when certain people *always* ask "what's up?", "what's new?", or "how's it going?" whenever you pass them in the hallway. Every. Single. Time. I'd like to muzzle them.

My boss says "Mornin'" to me, and I respond "Mornin'". Neither of us say "good morning", as he is very well aware that I would rather be dead than at work in the morning. He also seems to only greet me when I've sat down my laptop on my desk, but I've not yet started doing anything. If my laptop is booted, or I've picked up the phone, or already talked to anyone else, the greeting is skipped.

Most other people that say "good morning", "hello", or anything else along those lines, I simply ignore. I've been told that it's rude, but I frankly don't give a rat's ass. I think that it's extremely rude to interrupt my train of thought by demanding that I return a "hello", when you had no other reason to require my attention. Quite a few people have asked me why I'm polite most of the time but am a total prick and ignore greetings such as those, and I have no problem going off on them about this. It's not so much that this is a pet peeve of mine, it's more that I'd like to imprison everyone participating in this bullshit.
