descartes is entirely right. saying that this is "thinking outside the box" is akin to looking at someone else's hand in poker and saying you're "thinking outside the box". when you ask a question, it was not (for me) and imo, should not, be a question of whether or not i trust you. it should be a given that you are telling the truth. if you lie, then is it really a surprise that most people get the answer "wrong"?
