Who do you call when you need something welded?

Sorry, i was thinking of something along the lines of "who do you call...ghostbusters," but it didn't work :eek:


Anyways, what category would welders be under the phone book? Just a simple weld, specifically

If it were me, I'd weld it myself. Otherwise, I'd go to a local welding shop. There's a few around here.

I needed a bed frame support welded 2 years ago (yes, it DID happen from some quality time with the gf) and brought it to the local Midas shop. I had called ahead and asked if they'd do it for a 12 pack of beer. Of course they agreed and I swung in and had it done in 5 minutes. The guys were total hick slackers and loved getting beer at work and were more than happy to help me out. The other guys blew off packs of fireworks in the parking lot. It was a fun time.

Do they have any typical store names?

I've searched under fabrication on yellowpages.com, but haven't seen anything useful. The REAL yellowpages is at home durnit.
