Who do you argue with on the forums and still have a good-natured friendship on the side with?

There are just certain people whose threads or commments I am more likely to respond to then others. I enjoy Xsauronx, JohnCU, Sagalore, Redfraggle, Tridentboy, manlymatt83, Crakajax, Alchmyst, inflatablebuddha, tridentboy, and of course Mosh . I can't off the top of my head think of anyone that I intentionally avoid to prevent a headache except the banhammer patrol.

When I argue with people its completely at the intellectual level. However, I tend to get under people's skin at that point and they take it personally and seem to hold a grudge. I've been called a number of names before...

I'm ok with everyone who I argue with, if they at least take the time to show know they know what they are arguing about. Even if they don't, I don't mind that much, but I probably will ignore them after a while. I don't even care if you call me an idiot or whatever, but obviously I prefer if everything is civil. The people I respect most are the ones who are calm enough to argue points without attacking the person. Kudos to all of you.

I don't hold grudges, by the way (my memory is crap ).

Same here. And short of maybe one or two individuals here I couldn't tell you who I've had arguments with or what they were about. I remember topics, not posters for the most part and I don't hold a grudge...it's just an intarweb forum after all.:beer:

I tend to find myself hurling shrill, screeching insults at 911TZ quite a bit, but honestly he argues well and occasionally changes my mind on a subject. I also seem to agree with him about 95% of the time to start with.

I don't need validation or consolation here. If people don't like me, fine. I'd like to believe that everyone here doesn't take this seriously or personally since this is an internet message board, you know. But I know that some people do take it seriously and personally and I don't have much sympathy for that. The fact is as much of an ass I might be here, I'm sure we'd get along in real life. And anyone who waves the asshole flag here doesn't bother me. I know that if I met them in real life, it would be different as well.

I'm always willing to try and get along with most people. I can only think of a handful of people that have actually gotten me mad, but I get over it pretty quick. I tend to stay out of heavy discussions, because I'm usually not well versed enough in whatever it's about to contribute meaningfully.

No one ever makes map threads.
