Who do I get into safe mode?

Well, I have an MSI k8n neo2 mobo, and I have Windows XP Pro...when I turn on the computer it tells me I can hit TAB to go to POST....or hit DEL to go to BIOS....can I turn the computer on safe mode from going into either of these? If not, how do I? THANKS
