So this stupid cadillac was abandon in front of my house for several weeks. Local authority won't do anything about it. They probably will but it'll take forever. This is not your small japanese car. It is an old school typical big gas guzzling american cadillac that takes up huge amount of space. Anyone know where I can report this to get it tow away faster?

if it's RWD you can get just a bunch of friends over, lift the back end of it, and shove it down the road.

yes, I've called the local authority for the last three weeks. No one show up. When you call the towing company, don't they charge you??????

Autotrader.com - That'll solve all your problems and make you some quick cash!

I've NEVER had a tow company ask for a title..lol. I have had them ask for an ID though.

define the local authority?

And yes, if you take the matter in your own hands, they will charge you.

If the vehicle is on a public way; you can not do anything ab out it; unless it is blocking access to your place.

Consider, moving the vehicle to block access if you need the government to move it ASAP.

Or do something drastic to get the authorities involved.

*sigh* there's nothing I can do then eh? It's not blocking my driveway but right next to it. Blocking my mailbox though. And it's hard for me to back out since I have a narrow driveway and have to reverse out, thus limiting my view of vision with this huge sucker blocking the way from on-going traffic.

Blocking your mailbox? Are you receiving mail? Maybe the USPS can ask it to be moved, since it's blocking a mail stop.

Have you spoken to your department of transportation and asked who you need to call about disabled vehicles?

Here in TN, the police place a green ticket on your car. After awhile, if you don't get it, it becomes a red ticket (like a week or less). That gives you a few days and then they tow it.

Second vote for having a number of friends come over and pick up the rear to move it the 2 feet or so that will make it block your driveway.

Yeah, that's my idea. Set it on fire and it'll get more attention/priority.

Alternately, you could call the Dept of Homeland Security and tell them that you suspect a terrorist has parked his car outside your house... or just move to a new house.

back in high school it took about 5 guys. you don't have to lift the whole thing. just the rear, which doesn't weigh all that much.

Do you have a homeowner's association? Ours does not allow cars to be sitting on the side of the road for so long. Around here, Police come by and mark the tires with chalk. They come back like 10 days later, and if the car hasn't moved, it gets towed. My roommate parked his Benz down the road after he bought a brand new car, then went out of town. When he came back, his Benz was gone, lol.

Paint the curb yellow, and then call the towing company. they will then tow it away.
