keaton had a seriousness that the other two mommas-boys couldn't muster.

that, and tim burton did a damn fine job with the original. the sequels (never saw 2) looked like a bomb went off inside a circus wardrobe. just because you CAN make everything neon doesn't mean you SHOULD...

the first CAR was the best too...

I thought Batman & Robin really sucked. The first Batman was the best by far, imo.

Adam West rocked as Batman.

But of the movie actors, Keaton. Absolutely!

Not only was he more serious, he wasn't as "pretty" which lent some reality to the part. Plus his unassuming sense of humor fit the gothic scenery perfectly.
