You guys who gripe about their being nothing to do kill me.

Let's see . . . in the town where I live now, there is one place to rent movies. And they will get maybe 2-3 copies of the newer releases when they first come out.

Wanna buy a book? Go to K-Mart.

Wanna buy a movie? Go to K-Mart.

Wanna buy a CD? Go to K-Mart.

Wanna buy a computer game? Go to K-Mart.

Wanna see a film in the theater? After waiting six weeks, you finally get a movie you wanna see, then you visit a theater that should have been demolished 10 years ago. Strain your ears to hear the soundtrack.

Wanna go to dinner? Let's see . . . there's a great Italian place. And that's it. Oh, there's McDonald's, Taco Bell, Subway, Burger King, and Village Inn. But that's it.

I'm really only considering it because Flint is a straight shot down I-69 to my hometown. My grandparents are having some health problems, and my parents are the only members of my family who are able to take care of them (can't afford a nursing home). If I lived somewhere close I could at least drive home on the weekends and relieve them so they can blow off some steam.

i suggest you find a place outside of Flint, then. Swartz Creek is where it's at. :)

Any good apartments around there? What do rents go for?

Bump.

Oh - and when you guys say bad neighborhood, what do you mean, exactly? I grew up in Phoenix and went to school in South Phoenix so my concept of bad neighborhoods might be worse than what you're talking about. ;)
