Ok, so I am watching the Eagles vs. Falcons, and Fox has this commercial for this show called "Man vs. Beast" coming up. One of the events they are having will be who can pull an airplane further: An elephant or 50 little people? What do you guys think?

little people=midgets?

If so, then yes, 50 little people could.
If children, then no.

Why midgets you ask? Simple, because midgets pwnz j00!

Definitely 50 people, hell there have been instances in which one person can pull an aeroplane all by himself:Q

judgeing by weight a Male African Elephant weights from 5 -7 tons

50 little people at 100 pounds each would be 5000 pounds or 2.5 tons

hmm i would say hte elephant

How small are the people, how big is the elephant, how large is the aircraft, how much does it weigh and what surface will they be on?

Yeah but a lot of that weight is in the huge trunk and the ivory tusks. That sure isn't gonna help.

Yeah but a lot of that weight is in the huge trunk and the ivory tusks. That sure isn't gonna help.

From this site

Tusk weight: 10-60 kg
Trunk weight: 100-120 kg
Total weight: 4000-6000 kg
Proportion of tusk/trunk weight to total weight (averages: (35+110) / 5000): 29:1000

Human head weight: 5 kg
Average human weight: 68 kg
Proportion of human head weight to total weight: 73:1000

Therefore the human head, which arguably doesn't help a 150 pound human pull anything, would be a greater detriment than the elephant's trunk and tusks. I say the elephant.

BWAHAHA!

That was funny to me. Scientific speculation based on head weights. How funny.

Damn, I love the internet and ATOT.

The People, obviously...

...you see, they are small enough to fit inside the plane and turn it on.

Prepare to be pwned elephants! :p :D

I'm 95% sure (aren't arbitrary numbers fun?) that that "little golf cart" is actually pretty big, and is actually just a huge deisel engine with wheels.

I'm going to say the little people, in part because it's counterintuitive (and would therefore make for better TV), and partly because I have a feeling 100 little feet will get better traction than 4 very large feet. Not sure though.

Besides, ever watched midget pr0n? Those little guys sure have a lot of spunk.. (so to speak, that is..)

lol wtf?

If one strong guy can pull a plane the plane was a Concorde I think (don't know the weights of a Concorde Vs 747) I'd imagine 100 midgets should be able to to pull it also.

Surely the strong guy ISN'T as strong as 100 midgets?

The strongest guy in the world is only about 3-5x max stronger then the average guy. Impressive but if you have 100x the people.......
