Who are these people supporting Hillary?

It seems like Hillary is leading in a lot of polls I read, what baffles me is that I don't know a single person who supports her. I talk to liberals/conservatives/women/men...various people from various background not a single person I've talked to has ever said they support Hillary.

I have to ask....who are these people that are supposedly supporting Hillary because I can't find one.

Note....this isn't a discussion of why or why not you support Hillary....just simply trying to find out roughly how many people, if any, out there do.

There are plenty of people here, just read some of the threads. I voted no BTW.

If I thought it would be voting for Bill again, maybe, but I just can't support someone who doesn't take a stand on anything.

Part of it is name recognition. Pretty much everyone recognizes her. Some will recognize Obama/Edwards. Most won't know the rest.

That's pretty much it. The TV ads don't really start flying until after the primaries are finished and candidates are set in stone.

I think a lot of it is people's desire to support the perceived "winner". Its the same reason Kerry won the nomination last time around, nobody that I knew really knew WHY they were voting for him, they just were.

the media is the one carrying the lady. All you hear is hillary this, and hillary that, and all the little moths get attracted to the light.

She's better than the repubs besides ron paul but it seems everything she says now i start to dislike. I think y'all should just give to to obama and be done with it.

That's because the media hopes to gain the access to the White House like they had under Bill.

If Hillary does get elected we'll probably hear more in the media about the "First Laddie" then the President herself.

er, not really...

Dean was the heavy front-runner going into the primaries (and he might've even had a shot if the media hadn't sabotaged him after Iowa).

I've never really been impressed with Hillary, but to be fair, I've never really taken a very close look at her positions and voting record. I know that she voted for the Iraq war, and that pisses me off, but so did Edwards and I think Obama would've as well. There are a few people whose opinions I really respect who told me they support her and think she's the best candidate. That really surprised me and made me think I should take another look.

I voted yes. I am keeping an open mind about Ms Clinton. I am waiting to hear more about her policies. But really after seven years of GWB, her has president has to be an improvement.

The US, if not the world, can not afford 4 to 8 more years of the Republicans running the government.

The question I keep asking is why people would not support her. Besides the fact she is not a white guy, what do you have against Ms. Clinton.

You know, I assume, that dogs can be taught to slaver at the sound of a bell. The Republican clowns who risk having an aneurysm every time Hillary's name is mentioned were trained the same way by talk radio.

So many people of a certain persuasion have made Hillary a bad name and at the same time they also agree that 4 more years of Republican regime would not be a good thing for the country so you have a lot of people bad mouthing Hillary but in the voting booth will vote for her and that's where it counts.

Hillary obviously has people spamming polls. When will those crazy Hillary-ites get it through their skulls that she doesn't have a chance?

Wife has a bunch of women who will be voting for her because she is a women. That is all, nothing on her politics, just she is a women. Yes this is the some of the stupidity of our voters.

Like Christians who vote for Christian politicians? No, that's not exactly fair because they probably share the same values. But until the glass ceiling gets broken, at least once, I think a vote for a woman because she is a woman isn't a horrible thing so long as the woman in question is smart, capable and qualified. Your wife's friends may not share political views with Hillary, but I don't think they think she's dumb. Hillary comes with baggage sure, and she wouldn't be where she is without Bill having been who he was, but I think it's disingenuous to equate a vote for Hillary with a vote for "just any woman." If Bush made it for 8 years, I think Hillary can certainly hack it in the WH. And the alternatives on the Dem side aren't all much more palatable. I don't love any of these candidates. I wish the left had a Fred Thompson type (not Gore).

I think voting strictly along lines of race, religion, and gender are stupid. Anybody who does such a thing is a moron.

I support Hillary. She is probably getting a bunch of her support from less politically involved people who support her due to name recognition/high profile status.

Oh, and the idea that the media has somehow chosen her as the Democratic nominee is stupid. If anything Obama has gotten more airtime then she has... and yet she is crushing him. In fact I think Fred Thompson has given her a run for her money on airtime since he showed up and well... he's hopeless. God I hate the "durrrr, it's the media's fault" reaction to everything.

People who don't know any better. They will be bitching when she wins and everything stays the same (Iraq) and taxes go through the roof for a healthcare plan that is doomed from the start.

But it's perfectly OK to vote Republican strictly for the sake of anything but a Democrat
