Mathematics were invented in India, not Iraq. The modern numeral system and algebra were both passed on Europeans by Middle Eastern traders.

And writing was not "invented in Iraq". Maybe they invented a form of writing, but writing in general was developed individually by many civilizations around the same time.

210 Posts since before 1999, huh? Methinks that "CFster" is an alias for someone else...possibly one of those Pro-Palestinian tools?

What you had forwarded to you was false, like stated many times inthis thread. Ancient Arab civilizations are credited for most of what was listed, not Iraqis.

I don't know about some of them, but I will comment on the ones I do know about...

2. Actually the Sumerians are thought to have invented writing; it'd be wrong to call them Iraqi's. Just as Germany, the nation itself, didn't exist before 1860. Even if you'd like to do that, there's some debate and many think it was the Egyptians.
4. This is an invention of the The Holy Islamic Empire, aka The Ottoman Empire. Definitely not Iraq.
9. Most scientists say we descend from internal Africa... no one has ever said Iraq. Ur is also an ancient city of Mesopotamia, not exactly Iraq.
10. The Indians (not to be confused with Native Americans) beat them to the punch.
11. Um... so did every single other ancient civilization.
12. This is extremely debateable... some say Mesopotamians (Iraqs if you will), others say the Greeks, and yet others support the view of nomadic herdsmen of Inner Asia (Genghis Khan and Co.). Did I mention they all have strong evidence?
18. Uh... actually Canaan or the region that can be roughly called Palestine is the birthplace of Prophet Ibrahim (aka Abraham), PBUH. And what exactly is the "father" of Islam...
22. This must have been a long time ago...
24. I don't even know what this means... "the Germans of Arabs"? I guess I have to be European to get this.

Paraphrasing Dennis Miller...Wow, they peaked early didn't they?

Seriously, I don't know what the purpose of this was except to make people feel sorry for an oppressed populace....not that they need anymore of that.

Not to mention, what does "Pro-Palestinian" have anything to do with this post?

"Resulting to petty attacks because you are wrong is a sign of foolishnes. If you wish to continue to look foolish to everyone on this board, continue to post"

Lame troll tactics - I've seen it before. Roughly analogous to someone in a bar saying "STFU and drink your beer".

Well done.

Huh?

Because I only have 210 posts? I'm a Palestinian because I don't have 13,000 posts like you?

I'd say that just means I have a life.

That's wrong. Muslim empire has nothing to do with it. He was talking about the Persian empire. You know, Darius, Nebuchanezzer, Assirnassirpal. Actually I'm mixing up ancient history with less ancient history, but the point is, all this was before Islam.
