If 1/100 persons in us earns 1m$ annually then who are these?
What do they do?

How much do CEO's,administative/managament heads' etc of comapies like Pepsi,Intel,AOL,finance companies etc earn.
How much do owners own?

Is it 1/100? Didn't think it was that high. Anyway, some people have high paying jobs, others own businesses, others landlord, others win it in the lottery.

Which kind of people earn high paying job?

Also, how does one start from a small business and go on expanding?

Not many people at all get 1 mill a year. CEO/CFOs of Very Wealthy companies and probably some high end lawyers.

um, did you mean 1/100 are millionaires? That seems a bit more likely... There is no way in hell that 1/100 people in this country make a million or more a year.

executives
partners at large law firms / the top defense attorneys
the top doctors
athletes and coaches

very few people have a 'salary' exceeding a million $

but yes, a lot of the top guys at large companies 'effectively' take home that kind of money - some of it is in cash, more often a lot of it is in perks that are not very visible - premium club memberships, co paid cars and apartments, paid vacations etc etc

my boss makes over a million...

What would be the annaul earning of a person who does this work or employs ppl to do this work:
1)Imports hardware or buys it
Becomes a distributor for the same in USA
Opens a wholesale shop and website to sell these components
Also, gives a name to his company under which he delivers branded pcs throughtout the nation, customized / preset pc/laptop,don't ompais like monarch, alienware do it.
Also, giving decent price and OK ( not very good) service and replacement
Also,assmebles pcs and gives AMC

SAy the person employs 20ppl through the county mostly for clerks or punes or assmelbimg and small works

A millionaire,a person who has an annual income of a million probably of the main currency or something of the county.

I live in India.
In the newspapers it was there that 1/15000 ppl in India is Millionaire with total being 70000 of them .
In USA it was maybe 1/100 ppl with total being 2.5m.
Also USD=Rs.43-44
In India millionaire is one having 10lcs or Rs.1000000 annaully , abt 25000 USD .

among the successful people in the groups i listed, it is not that uncommon. i wasn't really talking about 'perks', so much as differences in the compensation structure. for VCs, i think there are a lot of different variables, such as carried interest, how much they're allowed to participate as an individual on funding rounds, etc.

I'm not a millionaire but I wipe my butt with hundred dollar bills...

Do you think they will ever catch on here at the "Currency Exchange", lol?

yes... but not common. just about anything is "possible"... it is possible for someone with no degree to become a billionaire.

Case in Point: Steve Jobs. Dropped out of college to found Apple, now CEO of both Apple AND Pixar. In my understanding has no degrees (but I might be wrong).

All of those degrees/certifications/etc. are nice but experience will speak more to an employer if you're a foreigner applying to jobs in the states. I frankly wouldn't be surprised if a large number of those degrees end up carrying very little clout 10,000 miles around the world.

Edit: Don't forget, connections will get you far in the old boys' network that is the business world, much like the legal world in the US.

Isn't a millionaire one who has assessed over $1,000,000 in net worth? I don't think you necessarily need to make $1,000,000 or more per year to be a millionaire.
