I've been bored sitting here at my parents place and just randomly started looking for some of my old stuff. Well I came upon a bunch of my old LEGO sets. I have a pirate ship with red sails, one ship with blue sails, two castles, and a hospital. Just reminds me of how many hours I used to just sit there and play with that stuff :D

How many of you people had LEGO and what sets did you have?

I did. And I still have them somewhere on the attic. They must be from around 1980-1985 or something.

Who DIDN'T have legos? (at least from the generations for whom legos were available)
I had a whole bunch of technics sets, I never made them into what they were supposed to be though, they always ended up as weird robot things. I used the robot things to trample the medieval guys who always seemed to be in a war with each other. It was always fun to try and build a better medieval guy trampling robot.

Always mixed all the boxes I had, making very big spaceships (2-3 feet long). They never lasted long though. Everytime my brother and I had a heated argument, he would fling my spaceships down the stairs.

Got my first lego at the age of 5. Used to love playing with them, and often the bricks were not enough for me and my sister's ambitious dream house projects :)

I thought playing with legos was a requirment of being a kid, like you couldn't become an adult until you have played with them

You know, everyone's posting about their castle or technics sets but the most complex piece I ever had was the 1" grey gear and the black axles. :( That and a tubload of bricks... lots and lots or red, blue, yellow, black, and green(?) 4x2 bricks.

Am I old?

I used to play with space-legos as a kid :). I loved those things, and I still have some :D! In fact, I took my GF to see my home (you know, the REAL home where you were born and grew up) last weekend (my home is pretty far away). For some reason we ended up talking about Legos, and decided to show her some of the lego-spaceships I have (I still have some complete (big!) spaceships). I showed them to her and then I... started playing around with those ships... She just looked at me, rolled her eyes and muttered "men!" (true story!).

Hey, I can't help it that space-legos are cool! They are cool even when you are 24 years old!

Haha, Legos are awesome...we had this big rug in the basement and I would just dump all my Legos out onto it and start building...I had so many it was a pain in the freaking neck if I was actually trying to build something according to directions and I had to find that *one* unique piece that came with it...heh. I had some kick ass space battles though, and Dark Ages sieges of epic proportions...I remember this one time I re-created the Bridge of the USS Enterprise (the original), and I put all the Lego guys' arms, legs and heads backwards so it would look like the uniform, hehe. Yeah, I had problems, stfu.

I used to love Legos. I sold my entire collection for $20 a few years ago though. Every so often I wish I had kept them though :/ They were fun

I had them as well. I liked the AquaNots or whatever they were called... that set was my favorite.
