I would spend day after day playing with legos. I built everything from a complete village to a set of race cars & track. I never bought complete sets (unless to get a few 'specialized' parts), but normally designed everything myself.

I loved legos, I used to take pictures of what I made with them ;)

I had the ship for the longggest time before I made something else out of it, I also tried to waterproof it and make it float but it didn't work :(

the space shuttle rocked also!

I *loved* the castle series, I remember being psyched when I got a "big" castle and layed siege to it nearly every day. Snow days ruled, because I'd get out the card table and dump out all my legos and go on build-fests.

I saved all of mine, hopfully toys won't be so advanced 15 years down the road and my kids will want to play with them. And I *know* I'll have a hard time not joining in :D

I still have the space monorail and the expansion set. All my legos are in a box in the basement.

I always wanted the LEGO airport set when I was younger. I never got it, I finally found it a few months ago at the lego store and I bought it for myself. Nothing compares to playing with legos.

Legos was the only thing I did when I was young. I would be cities that covered my whole room until my younger brother came and destroyed them all. :(

Yeah, Legos were the bomb....my parents refused to buy me console games, they thought it was a waste of time/money....deprived as a child. I just bought my first gaming system..an xbox!

I was one of those spoiled nerdy kids who had about 10 shoe boxs full of legos, not counting the 15 or so "constructions" I had on my bookshelves and dresser. Honestly, I think legos had a real impact on my life. I was content playing by myself for hours with them. They made me a patient person, but they also made me a little introverted (at least by some standards).

However, I wouldnt trade my days (months, years?) of lego play time for anything. :)

BTW, I still have all mine (Ill be 20 soon). But my brother never got into them. He, at 11, a jock haha ;)

oh yeah, legos were great, but it was a pain to clean up, and after mixing a couple sets, it becomes painful to find "color-coordinated" pieces
