I can't seem to sit down and read a book, I feel like I should be doing something productive. A book takes weeks to read, a movie takes an hour or two, and will provide the same type of entertainment.

I sometimes read the Bible, I should probably read it more, but that's about the only book I read.

I even bought a bunch of programming books once, and I just can't seem to stay focused when it comes to reading stuff. I was the same way in school, I learned more if the teacher actually taught, than if he just told us to read pages 20 to 50 for the test on Monday.

I started reading the Bible once. I was gonna read it from beginning to end. I didn't get too far in before I said "Are you fuckin' kidding me?! Fuck this!", and I haven't picked it up since. Of course I read lots of pieces of it growing up due to being tortured in Catholic school, but I try not to think of the dark times.

honestly, it's a pretty damn good book and very entertaining. Just skip all the begetting mumbo jumbo and focus on the smiting.

Meh... My first problem is it's put out there as non fiction. When I read non fiction, I want it to at least attempt to be believable. In terms of fiction, there's much more interesting stories out there, that have continuity, and haven't been massacred by multiple translations.

I read pretty much every day, usually a chapter or 2 before bed, only problem is that the book I'm reading now has short chapters :p
