Whither the Resource Kit Guide and an updated Command-line guide for Windows 10?

So I had a question -- it had been posted here and also at "Networks" -- about certain MS "virtual" network adapters in the Device Manager. JackMDS suddenly raised my awareness that the techno-geek and avid programmer of the 80s and 90s had fallen behind in the backstream race to keep up with Mainstreamers.

So, after cleaning up all my Event Logs (still patting myself on the back) for this dual-boot 7/10 system, I started looking for what I was sure I'd find as a Windows 10 Resource Kit or guide. They published the usual massive gloss-paperback tome for Windows 7. I can't find such a thing! Can't find it!

Also, I had found the Windows download for the "CHM" help file of a Command-line reference for Windows 7. Is there none for Windows 10?

Somebody just have a link or three they could post and offer up.

Yeah, that's the one I already found and downloaded.

But isn't there some . . . .Windows 10 . . . "Bible?" Resource Toolkit? Whatever they used to call it for earlier versions? I think I downloaded some "free" $0.00 books, or at least one of them, from Amazon. I think it was the IT Professional's guide to Win 10 -- or something of a similar title.

I'd assume because the command line hasn't changed. The only commands I've needed to run on any of the thousands of 8.1/10/2012/2016 systems I deal with are the same commands I've run from the command line forever (ipconfig, msiexec, change logon). Windows has always preferred GUI to CLI. For the CLI types, Powershell is the way to go.

This one? Free ebook: Introducing Windows 10 for IT Professionals.

Seems no more Resource Toolkits though.

Yeah, but I didn't hesitate to download it, because of the $0.00 price-tag. It is definitely not the old Resource Toolkit. However -- there is more to investigate at Amazon.

I just feel uncomfortable with the changes in what we'd learned to expect from Microsoft. What new surprises await?
