I remember using a crimping tool that looked like a bolt cutter that crimped steel sleeve onto the straps. And a different tool to tighten the strap. The straps only came in yellow.

I remember the heavy black steel banding that used the same kinds of tools. Cut the shit out of myself numerous times on that stuff.
