White squared pixels on screen

I started up my newly built pc just last night.
And I guess with some heavy usage with installing some programs, I closed my web browsing page with the install up, and i saw a white squared pixeled area.
Is this a cause of the monitor? Graphics card? Or why did this even happen?

For reference I have a 6870.
Also has anyone here used and overrdrive as an overclocker? O yes is it at least decent for a stable over clock?
Or is it worth the trouble getting msi afterburner?

Nope didn't overclock. I'm using the hdmi cables, apparently the 6870 doesn't come with vga adapters.

It also goes away, does it do that
