Rebate update:

Staples rebate center CSR Wanda told me explicitly that the items do NOT, repeat NOT need to be on the same receipt unless (as with Dataviz Documents-to-go) the rebate form says so.

ALSO: the in store rebate form uses the term "receipt(s)", obviously explicitly permitting more than one, and nowhere suggesting otherwise.

Staples is a good store -- multiple receipts should NOT be a problem, even if some Staples managers are innocently confused about it.

(Forgive me for reposting this; it's important enough I wanted it to lead a column, as it were, as message 100.)

staples.com has officially screwed me on this deal.

One of my orders using the $40 off coupon had the $100 Agfa camera taken off it (out of stock), thus the $40 coupon no longer worked, so I paid $112 for some crap software.

Again, I had to call them to find out why it hadn't shown up, only then did they update my order. If I hadn't called I guess i would have charged the full amount and never got it. Well off to B&M again - I never learn. If you ordered online, I advise you to check your order. If you are lucky they will go out of stock, remove the item AND let you keep the coupon.

If you try to pick up the free software (My Business Publisher (380424), My Business Check Writer (427454), Elibrium Bill Center (451326), Simply Accounting (442356), and ProVenture Smart Business Pack (459843)) you'll find that the Check Writer is out of stock, and the system won't let you use the coupon code.

I called Staples and got them to put the order through without the Check Writer. They won't send it as a back order, but will do the rest without that one piece, for free.

I was also a big idiot and forgot to add a coupon on to the purchase. I called back and got a $50 off $500 applied, so my total cost for the set will be $270 for XP Pro upg with 4 software titles (3 of which I can actually use ), the Palm m100 (can give to my wifey since I already have an m505, and the AGFA ePhoto CL18 (wonder how it'll work under water?).

well I have now got everything except XP and the camera, by UPS. It's quite a pile. Looks like my girlfriend will get a palm m100 (I'll make her a geek yet), I think i'll stick to my Visor Prism .

You'd better check on the language software; I had the translator and Dazzle processed and then received a call from Staples saying that it was an Ingram Micro item and it was OOS. Considering that it takes Staples ~2 weeks to get replacements, they might call you and tell you to try again later.

staples has been telling me since Monday that I should receive it &quot;today&quot; but I still have not received it.

They are now saying that there is some problem shipping this product.

same prob.... didnt show today, I have everthing else, but I kinda need the XP. I haven't opened any of the free crap in case they tried this. They must have XP, who would actually buy it!? Plus we ordered it before the ad cameout in their flier, first come first serve.

I called CSR , and they dont have a tracking # for it, but it was shipped she said ?! Dont make me go to staples and photocopy the bottom of Office XP without buying it (well I guess I have bought once already!)

My CC statement and what I ordered dont even come close. I am so tired of looking at it all I think i'll have to mail it all of to Amex and let them figure out, I still dont have XP....
