There isn't a huge difference. More fiber, more vitamins, magnesium, etc.

Nothing massive, especially compared to enriched white rice. But it's still better so if you can get used to it you might as well switch.


but isn't it mostly the non-soluble type fiber? I forget which one is better--fat soluble or whatever. But I seem to remember it being pointed out that this specific benefit was no benefit b/c you aren't going to metabolize it anyway.

Insoluable is what helps you "bulk" your poop while soluable is better for things like cholesterol control and satiating appetite. Neither are absorbed by the body, it's just a function of if they remain intact or not while passing on through.

I like all rice for different reasons, but if I were forced to use 1 kind only, it would be brown.
