White noise on one side...

I use headphones on my computer and I'm having a problem. I hear white noise on one side of the headphones and not the other. I turned down the wave output which helped a bit. But why only one side? Any ideas? Should I do a driver reinstall or something?

You check to see if the balance is off in volume control?

It's possible the connection to the ear with the noise is bad. You may need to get them warrantied.
