So I have this crap called Tinnitus, which is basically ringing in the ears 24/7. I hear (hehe) that you can listen to "White Noise" and it will mask the Tinnitus. I wanna try it. It's tough for me to read sometimes because I concentrate on small noises around me or the ringing. Maybe this "white noise" will help me out.

I have read that white noise is the combination of thousands of different frequencies of sound, all added together. You can buy these CDs, but I figured if it were that simple, someone has to have a free download somewhere.

Anyone know of one?

Thanks!

I sleep with one of those $20 noise machines set to white noise, makes a huge difference.

I just have 3 PC's in my room :)

Fan noise drowns out all other noises! I actually can't sleep as well now if there's not some fan noise ;)

I do the same. I have my computers on and I sleep with a fan next to my head. I think the fan might be the cause of this Tinnitus crap, of course it could also be my stereo or my headphones. But I think it is just genetic, because my dad and grandpa have it too.
