White Loading Bar

Nebor

My specs are in my sig... but when I start my computer, before I get the Windows XP logo and loading screen, I get a loading bar at the bottom of my screen. It's made of small white rectangles with spaces between them, and then as it loads, the white rectangles are bridged by a white bar. After that, it goes on to load windows... what the heck? Any ideas?

I got that same thing with my p4 system at every boot. With my Athlon system, I get it ever so rarely. I think it's normal though. Some systems may just go through it faster though.

It's normal. Windows 2000 has this on every boot. I've heard that Win XP only does this every once in a while. It's the point where you can hit F8 to start in safe mode, command prompt, etc. I've never heard what it's actually doing there, but I assume it's checking hardware, and loading the stuff thats needed first.

Maybe b/c there both NT b/c windows 2k does this fully than loading screen. My xp does this some times it dont hurt anything.
