That'll be perfect for me as my contract will end around June or so of 2012, I don't mind waiting for the rush for the iPhone 6 to be over.

*Edit* Ya know, reading that again it's almost all speculation, nothing in there is really concrete...

Same color, same specs, but the back will be glued on using bits of Steve Jobs' saliva. That should appease the Apple die-hards! :awe: (I kid)

The 5 could still be a big step even within these limits. Dual-core A5, finally ditching the too-small 3.5" screen (maybe), fixing the radio...

I hope Steve Jobs is enjoying the ride while it lasts. Someday there will come a time when people get fed up of buying a new version of the same damn phone every couple of months.

When he dies it will all be over.

At this point I'll be surprised if they increase the screen size on the 5. It is looking like it's going to be mainly a processor and OS upgrade with the 6 being a total revamp.

What a stupid comment.

+1. My dad has (literally) owned 6 Toyota Camry's in a row since the 80's, is he buying the same car over and over?

Agree assuming the articles are true. I think that other than a few very minor cosmetic tweaks to differentiate itself from the iPhone 4 the major changes will be saved for the iPhone 6.

Apple iPhone release dates are yearly, not monthly. Lastly all of the iPhones are quite different. There's more duplicates of android phones from HTC than anything else.

Yep. Apple releases considerably improved iPhone models on an annual basis. Each year, we'll get a new iPhone model. Speculating about an iPhone 5 in 2011 and an iPhone 6 in 2012 is like saying the sun will rise and the price of a stamp will increase.

a sept iphone 5 launch would coincide with 28nm readiness.

So the timeline makes sense.

It's strange why the release is little later than their expected June timeframe but 28nm won't be ready by September according to Nvidia, of which is one of the first tier customers for TSMC.
