We still need the entire 90-page NIE released (and not just the 8 pages of key excerpts kind to this administration's pre-war claims).Originally posted by: jlmadyson
Genx - "Uh this latest revelation has nothing to do with Plame and it is clear Bush didnt give the authorization to leak her name."
Why do you say it's clear?
According to the documents, Cheney told Libby to pass on portions of the National Intelligence Estimate to the press. Libby apparently wasn't satisfied with that request so Cheney got backing from Bush, then repeated his request to Libby to pass on the information. The president has the authority to declassify, and in fact, days later, the entire intelligence estimate was released to the press. The estimate did not discuss Plame.
Got any evidence otherwise?

Too bad they don't apply the same type of logic to the WMDs.Originally posted by: Gaard

Yep, you have that do you? Does Fitzgerald make that claim in this new revelation, not quite, nothing about Plame as a matter of fact in reference to said NIE.Originally posted by: conjur

Saddam said he didn't have any WMDs. Therefore, it was clear he didn't have any.
But, hypocrisy reigns supreme with some people.

BTW, I notice people like Genx87 avoid discussing that plane trip to Entebbe. That's where it was all laid out.

I'm just trying to make a point. Because the article doesn't say that Bush authorized the leak, to you it's clear that he didn't. You don't see how illogical this is? A few minutes ago you called Conjur a partisan hack. Don't you realize that this makes you look like one too?

How is this illogical? Right now there is no indication he authorized or ordered Plames name leaked. What you want is an ASSumption made. Most ASSumptions make an A$$ out of U and Me.
What this makes me look like or not doesnt matter. I am not here to win friends among this crowd of rabid lefties.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Try to get an original thought. Oh, that's right, the only original ideas you have come from the White House propaganda machine.

You can't regress until you improve. You're not regressing, you're just marking time.
