I have a friend in the "know" who feels that the Bushies planned this all along, that they let the Democrats get out on a limb, and that Condi Rice is going to make them all look like the partisan HACKS that they are. its going to be interesting when a bunch of "liberal" middle age white guys try to make Dr. Rice look bad. get ready for a good show, but i suspect, NOT what the libs planned.

Your head is so far up your aorta, you're in dire need of a surgeon. This "bunch of "liberal" middle age white guys" you speak of were all appointed by the Shrub himself, and the chairman, former Gov. Thomas Kean, is a dyed in the wool, old line Republican. By "old line" I mean that he appartently has morals and a conscientious desire for the truth.

The 9/11 commission is unanimous the Condiment Rice should testify under oath, not just under TV talk show kleig lights.

Does this mean the "offagainonagain" Bush administration is going to let Condi testify? The woman who admitted to not reading though all of the intelligence report?

The point is, politicians, including Kerry and the Bush administration, respond to events as they occur. It's a little stupid -- , no, strike that, -- it's very stupid to label that as off again on again. Responsive might be a better term. But, that stupid phrase might be enough to change the election. Why think about ideas when you can reduce it to a slogan?

Immediately afterwards, I plan on using the Freedom of Information Act to declassify and release all of her internal memos and e-mails. That way, we can compare them against her testimony and see if she perjured herself. It's the Republican thing to do after all . . .
If this is the case, I will, in turn, warn her of your actions and advice her to lie under oath, then...it is, after all, the "Democratic thing to do."
Well, they were just following in Richard "I am not a crook" Nixon's footsteps.
Why use Nixon? As Kerry has pointed out, all Republicans are liars and crooks.
No, Bush and his minions are all liars and crooks. Many Republicans are fine, upstanding, good-hearted people. Unfortunately, they've let their party be hijacked by liars and crooks.

Question I would ask Dr. Rice: do you find it troubling that the Attorney General was told by the FBI in the summer before 9-11 to travel only by private jet for the remainder of his term because of a "threat assessment" by the FBI?
Ashcroft Flying High
1). were you aware of this?

2). and does this and other threats like this before 9-11 such as at the g8 meeting in Italy contradict your assertions that "Despite what some have suggested, we received no intelligence that terrorists were preparing to attack the homeland using airplanes as missiles, though some analysts speculated that terrorists might hijack airplanes to try to free U.S.-held terrorists. "

or when you said:

I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon; that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile.
