Well here we go. I heard Trump today tell his lemmings don't believe what you see or hear.

We heard from LIVE press conference a crucial question asked of Putin
“President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election and did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?”

Putin then responds with a bombshell of an answer, according to the English translation of his remarks that was broadcast during the press conference: “Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.-Russia relationship back to normal.”

The first half of that question ( President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election) is missing from the written transcript and the video recording so I don't know how they can claim it was an accident. Even if it was, the White House is not correcting it.

In another interesting twist the Kremlin transcript BOTH parts of the question are missing entirely.

How do you make a "mistake" in both the written and video transcript?

So now Trump is upping his brainwashing to include things you already saw and heard. Don't believe that, believe us.

Remember that one time Franklin Pierce did that and if Hillary had been elected she would have deleted the whole thing by not having the meeting in the first place. Fucking Hillary covering up the truth. When will they do something about her?!?

The Whitehouse was also notified of the error and has, so far, refused to correct it. Just in case people think it was an honest mistake, the white house video of the event was also scrubbed on this as well.

Alternate facts to create a post-truth world. One where Trump wasn't owned in Helsinki.

He's just testing the resolve of his minions as he considers a run for Pope in 2024.

They're also going to stop all records of any calls with foreign leaders. Bill Maher may be right, it's a slow motion coup

Removing from the official record public statements is actually getting into the 1984 territory conservatives have repeatedly accused Democrats of doing.

Once again the P in GOP stands for Projection.

I don't think you even read the articles you post about or maybe you only the read the headlines and the first few paragraphs. You found that selective quote and presented it out of context when the article explains why there are discrepancies on this particular question. He even went to say, that Putin appeared to be answering the previous question based on his continued response. The writer also went to explain this issue persists across many news outlets not just the WH.

Which explains why, after a week of being asked to correct it, the white house has yet to correct it.

That's doublespeak, right? Unedited video shows one thing & the White House offers a different version you accept willingly.

You're either duped or knowingly complicit in promulgating a lie.

You are arguing a different thing.

The specific thing that was cut is this:

Vladimir Putin: That could be a first step, and we can also extend it. Options abound, and they all can be found in an appropriate legal framework.

Jeff Mason: President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election and did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?

Putin: Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.–Russia relationship back to normal.

--------------------------------------

And here’s the key section from the White House transcript, which makes it seem as though Putin is still talking about the Mueller probe:

PRESIDENT PUTIN: That could be a first step, and we can also extend it. Options abound, and they all can be found in an appropriate legal framework.

Q: And did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?

PRESIDENT PUTIN: Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.–Russia relationship back to normal.

Your article actually reinforces my interpretation of the original article. Read the last paragraph.

So what? In reality, Putin said he wanted Trump to win. In the White House version, he didn't. That's the crux of it no matter how badly you want to obfuscate. Putin didn't admit to interference on the part of Trump but he did admit to motive.

Putin said that he wanted Trump to win. The WH removed a factual statement with no legitimate reason, and a significant one at that. Putin favored Trump full stop.
