You have the 'above bolded' and from that you predict the future. As long as Republicans act true to the past and your view of the past is correct so will be your view of the future, but if somebody steps our of the box you will never see it. That is why you need to speak with less certainty and more awayness that you are using the best judgment you can muster. You come off as if you had latched onto unalterable cosmic truths instead of modest judgments of what is going on. It becomes clear, as in this case, when you start ranting about this or that Republican as if you had a full picture of what is in his mind. Such a think allows you to make a monster of the other based on nothing but your opinion. It is the very kool-aid drinking you accuse other of engaging in, but in my opinion. I can understand the temptation to rant and rave, but I really fear believing myself when I do. And a commitment to truth should be the property of any seeking to understand the world.Originally posted by: BBond
This congress has refused to perform its most basic function in our system of government -- oversight in a system that depends on checks and balances. The joke is that one of them would step forward after many of them had to find out IN THE TRAITOROUS NY TIMES about another of many secret programs run right under their noses by this fascist executive branch.
I know they'll allow it to continue based on past performance. They've allowed EVERYTHING to continue, what makes YOU think the leopard's spots will change now?
I have no facts? I have historical precedent on this administration and the congress they have in their pocket as well as information that I get the same place CONGRESS is getting theirs -- newspapers. I also have a lifetime of watching the political machinations of the likes of bush and his enablers on which to base my opinions. Bias? Pointing out the continuing failures of bush and his ilk isn't bias, it's truth.[/b]
Has someone taken over your computer, Moonie? Or have you tasted the kool-aid and found it's easier to just drink up rather than resist?
I've been right so far and time will prove me right again. Maybe I am plugged into some greater cosmic truth. Or maybe I have a talent for assembling information and making predictioins based on past actions. Or maybe the republicans who've taken over our government are just so transparent that it's easy to see where this is all heading. Either way, I'll stake my predictions against bush's or yours or Ann Coulter's or anyone else and I'll be right while you enjoy your kool-aid with the rest of them.
What a dissapointment. You used to have your head screwed on straight but you've fallen victim to the "let's be fair and give these criminals another chance" club.
The difference, I think, between you and me is that you are a fanatic. You have the gift of greater cosmic truth etc. You need no trial, no evidence, no concrete facts to determine who is a criminal. You are just as dangerous as the criminals you condemn. You have no humility and no possibility of error. You belong with the fundamentalist Christians and should start your own church.
I have the evidence and all the concrete facts I need. I'm just waiting for the trial.
But that's the joke. With the current crop of "republicans" in charge the trial will never be held. As you might have noticed, even when they're caught with their hands in the cookie jar up to the elbows their cohorts in congress and the judiciary refuse to act.
Who are the true fanatics?
If you have the evidence to convict in a civil trial, then do so.
