There are tonnes of people on this forum alone, and half this thread exists because such people think that America shouldn't take in refugees. Such people don't care that they're fleeing for their lives from war, why would they care if it's a different reason like starvation. No, there aren't "tonnes of people" on this forum who want Trump to intentionally starve africans. You aren't stupid enough to believe that, so how is it not the case that actually you're the troll here? There are many who don't give a shit about incidental harm it could cause, but you had to go full person with disability and ruin what could have been a valid point.

These ideologies are nothing new, and certainly nobody would accuse that lot of novel thinking. For example, a story making the rounds with the intl brotherhood of right wingers yesterday was some Roma squatting in a vacated residence in Denmark or something. Their response was basically the same as anything involving refugees, and same as their predecessors in the reich which led to categorizing gypsies with the other less desirable peoples.

So yes I am very pleased that the current administration has decided to temporarily halt immigration from that failed state until it is determined how to vet people who want to leave the destruction. We simply cannot rely on a barely functioning government in Libya to provide an meaningful data on people.
