Whistling 2001FP LCD

I just upgraded to a 2001FP. When the LCD comes on (not just from a cold start, but any time), it emits a high pitched whistling sound which gradually subsides over about 20 seconds. It reminds me of the sound that's made by a CRT set to a too high refresh rate (it's set at 60Hz). I'm quite sure it's not coming from the power brick. Has anybody else experienced this? I'm not eager to send it back, but I don't want to keep it if it's defective. Thanks.

Thanks. It's good to know there's at least there's one other person out there. Anybody else?

I just tested mine, and it doesn't whistle. Maybe I just can't hear it over my obnoxiously loud system fans, but at least it's not loud.

yep, my brand new one does the same thing - when it wakes up from having gone to standby when I havent used it for like 15 minutes. But once it wakes up (2-3 sec) it doesnt do that, or atleast I cant hear it. My PC isnt that loud either.

In case anyone else has this issue, Dell Tech Support sent me a replacement, and it's a big improvement--no whistling at all.
