One more way for the elderly to be abused once they are put into a home..

"Piss in this bottle now or you will go hungry!"

Eh, you make some form of booze from just about anything with sugar in it.

You know what the old fashioned test for diabetes was, right?

:hmm::\o_O:eek::D:eek::hmm::\:(D:

Wow. That was a lot of emotion for one wiki article. lol
Yeah....that's another of many foods which seem to have been developed in a time before refrigeration.

"Milk's gone bad, and it's a bit chunky. Yogurt!"

"Ok, so it sat around for a few months, and now it has mold, big deal. Blue cheese for sale!"

"Hmm, now it's rotted and it's...leaking.
Cazu marzu! Every spoonful is leaping with flavor!"

you know as bizarre and as foul as it sounds. I'd probably take at least one shot just to say I did. I'm kinda hoping I see Bizarre foods profile this. I bet Zimmer would do it.

Cheese is made from milk curds, not from vomit curds.

Like I said, most historians agree that the first cheese came from storing milk in an animals stomach. The very fact that it turned to cheese tells me that the stomach wasn't fully cleaned out, thus there must have been some sort of stomach fluids present (vomit).

Similar to what they are doing with the urine. The whiskey isn't entirely made out of urine, just the sugar from the urine and and rest of the ingredients.

I wouldn't eat that...

I don't think there are many that would........

I love this part:

Several food safety issues have been raised in relation to Casu marzu. ... In addition, there is some risk of enteric myiasis, or intestinal larval infection. ... Piophila casei larvae are very resistant to human stomach acid and can pass through the stomach alive, taking up residency for some period of time in the intestines and causing stomach lesions and other gastrointestinal problems. The larvae have powerful mouthhooks which can lacerate stomach linings or intestinal walls as the maggots attempt to bore through internal organs.

 What.. why..how... WTF? o_O

Though, I suppose I could always put it in a paper bag until all the maggots jump out, then eat it. NOT. D:

I'm surprised I never saw this shit on Fear Factor. Fucking nasty.

Edit: Or was it on Fear Factor? It seems like I kinda remember some kinda maggoty cheese, but Joe didn't make it sound as bad as the wiki does.. lol

I also must comment on "cheese flies" and "cheese mites". I understand they're probably called this because of the way we use them, but holy fucking hell. Generally, when an insect has the first name of something that is living/useful/food, it's never a good thing. lol

head lice
bark borer beetle
fruit fly
tobacco hornworm
cheese fly
etc

lol
