I wanted to put an option for "all three and I like vagina" but wanted to force people to chose one ;)

FWIW I appreciat all three...I probably appreciate a good scotch the most, but find myself drinking Rye whiskeys the most often. Right now I've got a glass of Rowan Creek Bourbon which is a little over 100 proof...weeee! It's no Bookers though.

mmm. bookers. bulleit. buffalo trace.

I don't really care as long as it's distilled spirit. I'm currently stocking Gin, Tequila, Vodka, Scotch, and Whiskey in the cupboard.

Nah. Works fine for people that don't have a platypus up their ass.

Yup.

I interpreted it as scotch, bourbon, or (non-scotch and non-bourbon) whiskey. If I'm wrong I don't care because it's a fucking Internet poll and I'm not a pedantic halfwit with a telephone pole up my ass.

My go-to would be Irish but Scotch would be next, followed by rye and very seldomly bourbon (too sweet for me).

Canadian whiskey? Irish whiskey? German whiskey? Malt whiskey?

In your situation I'll make an option of "I don't have a vagina but I nag like I do".

Bourbon for me. I love Booker's and Wild Turkey Rare Breed best but often drink Gentleman Jack (not technically bourbon) at work, and am perfectly happy with Knob Creek, Wild Turkey 101, or any number of other bourbons.

jesus, why are we even debating this...

scotch is a whiskey. not all whiskeys are scotch.

bourbon is a whiskey. not all whiskeys are bourbons.

whiskey is a general term for a fermented beverage distilled from a grain mash. In this example it would cover all whiskeys outside of scotch and bourbon since they already have their own option in the poll. christ...

Of these, Aberlour is my favorite, but I like Glenlivet a lot too. Laphroaig is too smokey for my wussy young tongue, and IIRC Glenfiddich was in that same style, although I might be wrong on that. Haven't had the others. I am lucky to be the son of a scotch lover.

@Cerpin Taxt: The Glenlivet is awsome.
It is a good scotch, I'll admit. The Nadurra, in my picture, is pretty strong, and the only one I drink with a splash of water. Among scotches, however, The Glenlivet ranks about average for me. It was one of the first -- if not the very first -- scotch that I bought and enjoyed at home on my own. It was definitely responsible for opening my eyes to quality scotch.

Now, having tasted a wider variety of scotches, I admit I regard it somewhat sophomoric, and likely unfairly so. In general, it is the one scotch a bar will stock if they do not stock any other scotch at all. Consequently, I do not bother to stock it in my personal collection, and whenever possible I will request something other than The Glenlivet.

In my travels I've found The Glenlivet to be best scotch that's not rediculously expensive.

Same. I think it's decent, but overrated.

what is your favorite out of the bunch? I can't seem to break away from Glenlivet 12yr.
The Glenlivet 12 was my first real dive into scotch, and it led directly to the Glenfiddich 15. I think Glenfiddich 15 was my first love with scotch. My favorite is probably the Talisker or Oban.

The Aberlour was a definite surprise for me. It was on sale at the liquor store so I bought it on a whim only to find it surprisingly tasty, if not lacking some of the distinctiveness of whiskeys like Laphroiag and Lagavulin. I would liken the Glenfiddich 15 more to the Aberlour than the Laphroaig -- not nearly as strong of a smokey taste. Try it sometime.

Try Aberlour Abunadh(sp?). It's undisclosed age, and cask strength. I like it much better than the standard offering.
