I plan to buy one x1900xt but what brand should i get? I want good quality, customer support, and lifetime warranty. Also is the xtx worth the extra $100?

I just got an HIS x1900xt. Although its not an xtx it has performed fairly well with almsot 11000 on 3dmark 05 out of the box. Played BF2, FEAR, etc on all high settings with no problem. IMO the xtx isnt worth an extra 100. I easly overclocked my xt to xtx speeds. The only thing the xtx might be able to do better is have a little more head room when overclocking.

I looked at new egg and I got my HIS card for 550-50mail in rebate=500. Now for some reason they moved the price to 600-50dollar rebate = 550.

Powercolor has the only lifetime warranty that I'm aware of, as far as X1900 series cards go. $483 shipped for the Xt, $583 for the XTX from the egg. However, you can pick up a Sapphire OEM XTX from newegg right now for $513 shipped, which is an outstanding deal.

no lifetime warranty though. If im paying $500 on a card i really would want a lifetime warranty. Sapph only has 1 year warranty and i may use this card for more than 1 year.

Get whatever is cheapest and no the XTX is not worth the extra 100$, it has better overclocking (I believe XTX cores are the best of the best) but the performance difference is incredibly small.

i already said that the sapphire oem does not have a lifetime warranty so the powercolor x1900xt seems to be the best choice here

I bought a OEM PowerColor X1900XT from newegg for $499 and I f your overclocking I would go with someone else becasue I can only get my memory up to 1500 (750) becasue I got not so good ram. Although I didn't remove thr HS to check if its 1.1ns RAM, If I put it up to XTX speeds I get artifacts quickly. On the plus side It has a lifetime warranty.

It does not perform any better than the nvidia 7800 gtx 512. I guess ill wait for benchmarks for the 7900 gtx and then decide. I may end up getting the 1900xt though since it will be cheaper than the 7900 gtx

ummm... the point is that the x1900xt is 450 @ newegg and is widely available... where can I get a 7800 GTX 512 for 450?? Whats that? Never and nowhere? :p

The 7900 GTX will take its place -- that will be a fair comparison.
