And I hate how people try to act like the Vette is going to be faster than a Ferarri if they get their hands on one. In fact, they will probably be faster in the Ferarri because it instills more confidence and is more forgiving...to run the vette as fast as it can you need to be an expert driver, turn off SC and TC, and keep the very very wild beast in line...most would wrap themselves around a tree.

Exactly - the F430 will have a lot more driver aid and will make unexperienced drivers look better compared to a Corvette.

With the vette, it just reminds me of a tight rope walker. If he has a long pole he has more mass to move but better balance. If he has a shorter one he has less balance and can move more quickly.

I would rather have the larger pole and be able to keep my life. Plus, IMO I like the exhaust note much better in the F430. Also, due to how I grew up(watch out, personal opinion coming) I must agree with Clarkson. You go to pick up your sister in a vette and say,"Hey baby, show me your titties," and you and your sister have sex in the vette bc your trailer is too full. Whereas, the Ferrari you can drive like a madman and not have to dedicate your life to trying to get everything out of the car. Besides, in the Ferrari you go to pick up a super model or your thin wife, since all you eat is pasta and salad within your family, and screw her in your mansion.

Besides the tidbit about driving, those are my images about the vette and f430. The Aston is in the same family as the f430(images in my head) except you eat broiled meat and oatmeal.

Me too! I'm a huge Aston fan. I don't care for the Ferrari much - it's fast, but it's just not me. I like classy style, good power, and a solid car. The Corvette is too much of a 'race' car, IMHO. My dad had a 69 convertible when I was little. Driving it around town here was a horrible experience - it would sometimes rub on driveways and you would HAVE to avoid pot holes in order to keep the undercarriage from being ripped out. If I do, then Corvette. If not, then Ferrari (even though I think it's ugly, as far as Ferrari's go)

Yes, it's one of the worst-looking Ferraris, although the 550 Maranello is worse. I think an MR2 or Mustang looks better. Ferrari struck design gold in the 80s and 90s- what happened?

crazy, the maranellos and the modenas are flawless designs. 599.. 612...456... these are less beautiful models

For those that werent fortunate enough to see the proper ending to the Z06 video, Clarkson stated that whilst the Z06 really was great on the track, the suspension set up was so poor and unforgiving whilst on any form of public road that it made it immediately apparent for the £100 000 price difference. You'd be far more comfortable in the Ferrari than the Z06 for a daily driver, which I assume many of you would be using the car for.

V8 vantage. it has more class than the other 2 and i assume it'll be a lot easier to live with too.

although the comparison is flawed... the F430 and ZO6 are supercars and the V8 vantage is a GT car. a better comparison for the V8 vantage would be the maserati gran turismo, bmw M6... and maybe the CL65 or something. they are never meant to be put on the track as-is.

as for the M5 being ugly... i finally got to get in the driver's seat... and trust me you won't care how it looks. under $100k for that huge V10 and interior is the bargain of the century.

Without a doubt the F430, the Baby Aston is kind of a joke and looks just too weird. Also a Corvette? not even in the same league, sure it can go fast and has just a completely HUGE engine but it can't match the Ferrari for performance and especially not in the corners.

The F430 is nowhere near as gorgeous as the 360 Modena or F355. It's design looks like a caricature of the 360 while the interior is a bit stark to me.

The Aston Martin AMV8 is gorgeous inside and out and is just an overall classy vehicle. I'd never be able to use either a F430 or Z06's power on public streets, so I rather look at the Aston and be coddled by that gorgeous interior than the other too.

I'd agree with you about the styling of the aston if we were talking about the DB9 but the Baby aston just looks smashed and squished. I think it looks more like a caricature than the F430. The F430 is one of the most beautiful cars around in my opinion. Personally I think its interior is actually quite nice. Also Jeremy Clarkson being about my height had no problem with the driving position. F430 for the win.

Oh and to the OP, if you are saying faster because of top speed... big deal show me a place where a car can chill at 200+ for extended periods of time, just doesn't happen. Top speed is nice but what really matters is acceleration and handling.
