Of these two choices, which would you get?

If you're partial to some other good MPG small SUV, please feel free to chime in.

FWIW I was went and checked out both in person today (no test drive though) in hopes of maybe narrowing it down to one out of the two and really can't say one stuck me as a winner over the other.

The CR-V seems to have more standard features and a bit nicer finish while the Rogue seems more sporty and does have more HP along with CVT tranny.

I'm 6'3" and was afraid that I'd not fit into one but had no issues at all in both of them.

I also moved the drivers seat back all the way and then sat in the seat behind it and was able to sit without my knees touching the drivers seat.

I'm torn :(

Also, does anyone (Rossman?) know of any good deals going on ATM for either of these two?

A Lifer should know which forum to post within.

I have, just didn't appeal to me as much as the other two.

I'm planning on test driving all 3 this weekend though...

As someone who spends a lot of time on the road, it continues to amaze me how CRV's and Rav-4's are ALWAYS owned by the worst drivers on the planet.

My advice- do yourself a favor and pass on both.

Both of those are nice, but I would go with a Ford Escape, because you can get it with a 6 banger. They also offer a hybrid of the Escape, if you are into that kind of thing.

Do they both come with lipstick holders?

Rogue by far. There was a review a while ago and the CRV came in last in AWD performance.

If you're going to check out the Rogue, also check the Murano. Probably in the different class but the Toyota FJ Cruiser is a fun vehicle.

I've read the the FJ is not a practical daily driver plus it's a gas hog. Looks cool though.

Anyone own a Kia Sportage?

LOL...I don't know about the last part, but I have noticed the same thing, at least with the CRV.

I currently have a 2006 CRV on lease. The MPG was a deciding factor. Do not do it. The CRV needs a V6 badly. But it does burn gas like a V6. Fuel mileage is dismal, between 16 and 20 MPG. That for a 4 cylinder is nasty. Thank god it's a lease, and I can give it back next year. Very underpowered.

The 2006 was the old body style before the redesign.

I would also not consider getting that one.

The CRV is underpowered but my father gets over 20 mph with his CRV.
